Podcast not updating
Unless I downloaded recent episodes that sit at the top of the Unplayed list, a good deal of searching is required before I come across a downloaded episode.
Podcasts, you can tap the toggle switch for Delete Played Episodes.
Broida checked back with the app last year and discovered that, after a major overhaul, it was serviceable, which may be the nicest thing anyone's ever said about the Podcasts app. Like most phone users, I'm am fighting a war on two fronts.
For me, the app's serviceability makes it all the more maddening. I am battling to stay below my data cap each month, while also attempting to avoid seeing the "Storage almost full" warning on my i Phone.
Remember that you must subscribe to the Audio Rewind podcast within i Tunes in order to get all current podcasts!
The last possible step you can take is to unsubscribe, delete the podcast, then re-subscribe.
I’m excited by these changes because, yes, some of my podcasts are seasonal and are best consumed from the first episode onward.
I’ll be adjusting my own podcast feeds to take advantage of Apple’s extensions as soon as it makes sense to do so.
Instead of graying out the episodes you can't play in such an instance, both apps smartly remove them so you see only the downloaded episodes you can play.If you have it set to delete played episodes, then make sure you tap the triple-dot button in the lower-right corner of the Now Playing screen and select Mark as Played. Here, you won't see individual episodes listed but instead how much space each is currently allocated for each podcast's downloads.Swipe left on a podcast and tap Delete to delete all of its downloaded episodes.New extensions to Apple’s podcast feed specification will allow podcasts to define individual seasons and explain whether an episode is a teaser, a full episode, or bonus content.These extensions will be read by the Podcast app and used to present a podcast in a richer way than the current, more linear, approach.Again, in the list of your subscribed podcasts, right-click on the “Official Mark Levin Audio Rewind” podcast and select “Unsubscribe podcast.” Right-click again on the podcast and select “Delete”. If, after refreshing the page several times, the list does not become current, you may need to unsubscribe then subscribe again.
