Free adult picture chat
We do our best to educate and monitor their internet actions but I learned how easy it is for good kids to be targeted and slowly sucked into participating in a way that is not of their usual character. My daughter and her friends are obsessed with this app.
I found my child in communities and role playing with strangers slowing progressing to sexual content.
Keep your children off this app and be sure to check other apps that allow private chats because these people also add your children on other apps as a backup chat system.
Entiching to young ones but the worst part is this: After several attempts at emailing the various addresses, I'm told they are refusing to delete a CHILD's profile without providing the CHILD's email FOR SECURITY PURPOSES..after the child has been interacting with adults although it's specified that it is NOT for children for obvious reasons.
It's full of bullies (who even bully autists), they respond with lenny faces & kys (Kill yourself) but they do much more terrible things.
The curators/leaders are bullies and the weird thing was that people love those bullies!
AMINO itself can include chats about pokemon but then members send you pornographic images (Seriously!? I found Amino on daughter's phone when doing a check.
), Everything bad about social medias can be found on metal amino & it's much more than on facebook, twitter etc. I was not happy with a few of the communities she was following.
This app is horrible, my child started enjoying stories and added their own stories to begin with but it didn't take long for the private chats to start!
Many of the communities are user-moderated, run by people with little moderation experience who are often minors themselves.
// I don't think the app is inherently bad for kids- it serves as a way for people of a variety of age groups to discuss their interests with like-minded people.
(And make sure that they know it is okay to do so- I often see a stigma against blocking that considers it cowardly or weak; make sure your child is not harmed by that rhetoric!
) // And most of all, make it absolutely, totally clear that your child can ALWAYS come to you if they see something on the app that they don't know how to deal with!
